DISSERTATION

...this is why I've not actually blogged in a while! At least I have completed nearly half of my dissertation so I don't feel too bad now. I have been doing studio work still and started to look at other sources of inspiration that could relate to my collection. I looked at Transformers and the comics, Blockbusters the gameshow, Art Deco and Nouveau...then I had a toile review thursday and my tutor told me that my collection like the colours, fabrics and ideas remind him of the 1970's film Logan's Run...I was like ohh right I have no idea what that film is, well I researched and he was right, the film set does have some of the feel my collection is portraying at the moment. This weekend I'm not going to lie, I've only been writing my dissertation and I had to go out friday night for a drink, it was very much needed...but saturday night my boyfriend brought round a dvd called Event Horizon...it was scary but also a space age film like Logan's Run but set in the 1990's so a bit more current. So moving on, tomorrow I shall experiment more with the jackets I'm producing and the jersey dresses. I desperately need to go fabric shopping soon too! xx
